Samsung Galaxy S8 VS Apple iPhone 8 Now its Apple’s turn. They must bring out something unique to make iPhone top-of-the-line again.

Let’s discuss some of the similar and not-so-similar attributes of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Apple iPhone 8.

Unlike the previous years, the folks at Apple’s Israel-based facility have stated that the company will be launching something different this time. They have precisely said that the ‘iPhone will not be like the previous ones.’ That is just one indication, but then it is iPhone’s birthday too. And when Samsung has already produced a feature-rich Galaxy S8, the expectations with the iPhone 8 has nothing but increased.

In this post, we will compare the two latest smartphones of the leading mobile brands of 2017 and try to find out the differences between iPhone 8 and Galaxy S8.

Design Samsung Galaxy S8 vs Apple iPhone 8:

Samsung Galaxy S8 has a glass body with 93 percent screen-to-body ratio. On the other hand, Apple iPhone 8 is said to have a metal body. The team at Apple is not ditching the metal body because the glass phone is vulnerable, it has said.

Display:

Samsung S8 is available in 5.8 inches screen display. Samsung has made it bezel-less, introducing the edge-to-edge display and starting a new era of smartphone design. It has named this display as ‘infinity display’ because of its boundless / border-less screen.

The Apple iPhone 8 is also expected to feature the edge-to-edge display. However, the analysts at Barclays have revealed that Apple’s iPhone 8 will have the True Tone Display Technology used in iPad Pro.

Processor:

Samsung Galaxy S8 has a Snapdragon 835 Qualcomm processor. The processor has higher 3d processing score but a lower overall processing score on Antutu benchmark.

On Geekbench 4 benchmark that evaluates how fast a processor will perform the day-to-day tasks, the Snapdragon 835 leads the rankings. The Galaxy S8 features Android Nougat 7.0.

Apple iPhone 8 is said to feature an A-11 processor with IOS 11 installed on it. The 64-bit fusion chips are already under development and Apple will release 100 million by the end of this year.

Camera:

Samsung Galaxy S8 has a 12MP rear camera with multi-frame image processing capability and dual-pixel. The multi-frame image processing technology allows the camera to take multiple images at once and then merge them to bring out a better-quality picture. The dual-pixel auto focus functionality allows the camera to focus the image simultaneously using all pixels. This is pretty like how a human eye works.

The front camera is an 8-megapixel camera with iris and facial recognition features. Both the front and back camera have f1.7 aperture size, allowing moderate light intake.

In comparison, Apple said that iPhone 8 have a 12megapixel dual-lens rear and 8megapixel front camera. The dual-lens and Dual Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) will allow an increased zoom range for the iPhone 8.

Storage:

Samsung Galaxy S8 has a 64GB storage capacity. The Samsung team has removed the 32GB variant from all its models because of the increasing RAM capacity requirement. It can be extended to 256GB with an SD card.

In comparison, Apple iPhone 8 will also be having 64GB & 256GB storage capacity. Apple has also removed 32GB variant, so both the smartphones are closely similar when it comes to storage capacity.

RAM Memory:

Samsung Galaxy S8 has been launched with a 4GB RAM memory for the whole world except China where it will be having 6GB RAM memory.

Apple iPhone 8 on the other hand will be having either 3GB or 4GB RAM memory, the final word on RAM capacity is not out yet.

Compare Other Features:

Samsung Galaxy S8 includes wireless charging, iris scanner, facial recognition, multi-frame image processing and edge-to-edge display.

Galaxy S8 VS iPhone 8 Similarly, iPhone 8 is also supposed to include iris scanner, facial recognition, multi-frame image processing, edge-to-edge display and dual-lens rear camera – the only feature that is different in iPhone 8. The Samsung S8 has a dual pixel auto focus camera instead.

As you can see, both the smartphones are similar when it comes to the specifications. Thus, the expectations from Apple iPhone 8 team for bringing out some new features out-of-the-blue have increased tremendously.
